Overview: We are seeking a skilled, personable, and dog loving bartender to join our team. As a bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving beverages to our patrons, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for dogs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Mixing and Serving Beverages: Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. This includes cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks.
2. Customer Service: Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to all patrons. Engage with customers, take orders, offer recommendations, and address any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
3. Knowledge of Products: Have a comprehensive understanding of the bar’s menu, including available spirits, beers, wines, and cocktails.
4. Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times. This includes regularly cleaning bar equipment, glassware, and utensils, as well as restocking inventory as needed.
5. Adhering to Regulations: Comply with all relevant health, safety, and legal regulations, including those related to alcohol service and sanitation. Verify the legal drinking age of customers and refuse service to intoxicated or underage individuals when necessary.
6. Payment Handling: Accurately process payments, and operate POS systems. Maintain accountability for all sales transactions.
7. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and a positive overall experience for guests.
8. Upselling and Promotions: Actively promote special events, promotions, and featured menu items to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a bartender is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry heavy objects (e.g., cases of beverages).
• Manual dexterity and coordination for operating bar equipment and preparing drinks.
• Stamina to work long shifts in a busy environment.
